Beauty & the Beast ~ Broadway Musical

Beauty & the Beast 2008

Had the opportunity to go to KLCC for the Beauty & the Beast Broadway Musical. One sentence is all that enough to evaluate the show. 'It is worth it & one should go see it!". The props were fantastic, the actors & actresses were professional and moreover, the seating was superb!

Belle had a sharp voice, Gaston was abit 'hiaw', the prince aka beast was kinda small in size and shape. The cup, the teapot, the candle, the clock & the cupboard was amazing and with the supporting roles such as serviettes, forks & spoon, salt & pepper, carpet & plates were amusing...they really made everyone laughed.

we were seated and amongst us, kids of all ages were eagerly waiting and making all kinds of noises as they were so impatient waiting for the show to begin.

"Save A Life" Project at Empangan Batu ~ Hulu Yam, Selangor

Empangan Batu, Hulu Yam. The tranquil outskirt of Selangor, situated just about 45 minutes away from the hussle of the noisy & hectic life of the capital city of malaysia.

The dam is rather quiet without much activities as it dangerous and the dam is rather deep, which supplies to the whole of klang valley. However, the place is ideal for picnickers to spend one day of peace and relaxation. about 1 km away, there are waterfall spots where people can rest and have a nice cool dip in the hot blaring sun in the afternon.

A group of about 30 people from all over klang valley gathered and participated at an outing basically focusing on the pure intentions of releasing life as an act of liberation of beings from sufferings.

Fishes were bought from markets and shops and then released into their natural abode. It was such a joy to see those fishes swimming happily after being released.

The act of liberation "saving a life" reflects the law of kamma which states that the pure intentions to release life brings better life and rebirth. As when you are very aware that another life / being is about to be ended and then to be consumed, then it is advisable to help free the life / being from being killed.

This itself is an act of saving of lives. However, this topic of liberaion is very complex and subjective. Many at times, people tend to ask "I release the birds around the trees area. Then I saw shooters shooting birds as an enjoyment and practice. What should I do then?" "better I dont release".

Later that afternoon, we spent our time eating and fellowship amongst us and then we headed off to the waterfalls. unfortunately, non of us went for cool dip. After that, we headed to Kuala Kubu Bharu Hermitage to meet a sayadaw from Burma.....
